Christmas Music Practice will be held during all of the Sunday school hour for preschool – 5th graders to practice the songs until the musical.
Unexpected Christmas: Adult Sunday A.M. Study at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Come join the Cup of Faith Adult Sunday School class at as Andy Stanley introduces us to a few of the colorful characters in Jesus’s family tree & their roles in the Christmas story.
Twin Pines Service is Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Scott and Dianthe Cable leading the service.
Church Board meets on Monday, Nov. 27 at 7 p.m.
Outreach Handbells practice at 9 a.m. on Tuesday and play for an event on Saturday, Dec. 2.
Tuesday Night Worship is at 7 p.m. in the Truman Student Union (lower level).
Newsletter Mailing Team meets at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29.
Help decorate the church for the Advent season during the annual Hanging of the Greens on Wed., Nov. 29 at 5:30 p.m. There will be a light meal afterwards.
Youth Group on Wednesday, Nov. 29 will help with Hanging of the Greens at 5:30 p.m. and then shop for angel tree angels afterwards until about 7:30 p.m.
Over Coffee meets at 7:45 a.m. at Hardee’s each Thursday morning. Enjoy Bible study on this week’s lectionary Scripture and fellowship with others
Bishop Bob Farr visits First UMC Kirksville on Sunday, December 3 and brings the morning’s message at both services.
Chancel Handbells will be playing Christmas selections on December 3 at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Come early and enjoy the music!
Youth Group Christmas Party for 6th – 12th grade is December 3 from 5-7 p.m. at the Johnson household, 2401 College Park Drive.
Cancer Support Group meets Tuesday, December 5, 6 p.m. at Colton’s for a Dutch-treat meal.
November Food Contribution: Applesauce for Christian Community Food Depot. Please place in bins in chapel hallway or outside church office.
Children’s Christmas Musical will be Sunday, December 10 during both worship services.

Community Christmas Day Dinner will be held at 1 pm on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, and is provided free of charge to anyone who would like to join in a time of food and fellowship. Teresa Ross & Nancy Krueger will coordinate donations of time, food, and funding.
Volunteers needed to help check people in for their directory photo sessions If you are available to help out for a few hours on 12/3 from 3-5pm, 12/4 6-9pm, 12/5 5-9pm, 12/7 2-9pm, 12/8 2-9pm, or 12/9 10am-5 pm, please let Lorri know in the church office.
Directory photos December 3-9. Each participating family will receive a complementary 8 x 10 photograph and directory. There are still some open slots on most days. You can sign up in the chapel hallway on Sunday, and during the week by following the link on the church website or calling the church office.
WOW Youth Weekend is January 20 -21, 2018! Registration forms are available from Theresa Melnick, due Jan. 5. Cost is $90 each, $65 for additional youth per household.
15th Annual Foster Children’s Christmas Gift Drive: A tree is on the table in the Chapel Hallway with ornaments that list a child’s needs, sizes, and a few wishes for this Christmas! If you are so called to give, we ask that you do not exceed $50. Please return your unwrapped gift to the church office during business hours or on Sundays with the child’s ornament/number attached by noon on Dec. 10. Thank you for your generosity!
Kirksville Senior Songsters perform Thursday, Nov. 30, 6:30 p.m. at Arbors; Friday, Dec. 1, 6:30 p.m. at Highland Crest, and Sunday, Dec. 3, 4:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church.
