Children & Youth Ministry Fundraiser Please help with our 161 envelope fundraiser (based off of John 16:13). Take an envelope with a labeled dollar amount, place the money inside, seal it, and place it in Theresa’s box or under her door. The goal is that this will be our ONLY fundraiser for the entire year. Please pray for the children and youth ministry of First Church as we hope to encourage and promote strength and joy as young lives grow in their relationship with God. Let’s see if we can clear the board by the end of August!

Food 4 Kids provides lunch for area children throughout the summer. The program is being held at Brashear, PC Mills, and Jaycee Parks from 12-1 p.m., Rebecca Zimmer and Cheryl Dorrell are co-directors of the program. For July 10-14 they served 323 lunches.

Newsletter Mailing Team will meet on Wednesday at 9 a.m. in Room 202.

Over Coffee meets at 7:45 a.m. at Hardee’s each Thursday morning. Over Coffee is a great way to fellowship with other 50+ adults and to engage in Bible study. Lively discussion is based on the lectionary scripture for each week and facilitated by Rev. Jennifer.

Youth Led Sunday is July 30. If you would like to be a part of the service, please contact Miss Theresa: 665-7712.

50+ Luncheon will be held on August 1 next month at noon. Share a meal and good fellowship with friends, new and old. Meat, drink, and table ware will be provided. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share.

The Back to School fair will be on August 2 from 11am-1pm at the Primary School. Each year we set a goal of distributing up to 600 kits for students in the area. We had a successful supply drive on July 15, but will not collect Saturday at Walmart. We still need your help to meet our goal of 600 kits. Lists of needed supplies are available in the church office or monetary donations may be marked "back to school" and placed in the offering plate.(No second supply drive at Walmart on the 22nd.)   If you would like to assist with the process of putting together and distributing the supplies, please contact Cheryl Dorrell (
